Terms and Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

Overview

These terms govern your use of jcasphaltpaving.com and any request for services from J&C Asphalt, based in Orem, Utah. By using this site or requesting a quote, you accept these terms. See also our Privacy Policy.

Services

J&C Asphalt provides asphalt paving, residential driveways, parking lots, and concrete work in Utah Valley and surrounding areas. Website content is for general information only and is not a binding offer. All work is performed under a written quote or agreement.

Quotes and Estimates

Quotes are free and no-obligation. Estimates are based on information provided by the customer and a site evaluation. Final pricing may change if actual site conditions differ from what was described or visible at the time of the estimate, such as subgrade issues, drainage, access limitations, or unmarked utilities. Any price change will be communicated and approved before additional work proceeds.

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise in writing.

Scheduling and Weather

Asphalt work is weather-dependent. Scheduled dates may shift due to rain, temperature, or material plant availability. We will communicate delays as early as possible. Delays for these reasons do not entitle the customer to cancellation penalties or discounts.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are stated on each written quote or invoice. Unless stated otherwise in writing, residential projects are due in full upon completion of the work, and larger or multi-phase projects may require a deposit or progress payments as outlined in the quote.

Invoices unpaid after 30 days may accrue a late charge and collection costs. We do not collect payment through this website.

Workmanship and Warranty

J&C Asphalt warrants its workmanship for one (1) year from project completion. This covers defects in installation such as improper compaction or premature raveling attributable to our work.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and surface hairline cracking
  • Cracking or settling caused by ground movement or subgrade conditions outside our scope
  • Damage from vehicle fluids, chemicals, or fuel spills
  • Damage from loads exceeding the surface's designed use, such as heavy equipment or trucks on a residential driveway
  • Tree root damage
  • Lack of recommended maintenance, such as periodic sealcoating

Warranty claims must be reported in writing and will be inspected before repair.

Customer Responsibilities

As the customer, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate property information
  • Disclosing or marking known private utilities and sprinkler lines. Public utilities are located through Blue Stakes 811; private lines are the owner's responsibility.
  • Keeping vehicles and obstacles clear of the work area during the scheduled window
  • Keeping all traffic off new asphalt for the cure period we specify at completion, typically 24 to 72 hours for vehicles, and avoiding sharp turning in place during the first summer

Site Content and Intellectual Property

All website content, photos, and branding belong to J&C Asphalt and may not be reused without permission. Project photos may be used in our portfolio and marketing unless the customer requests otherwise in writing.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, J&C Asphalt's total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount paid for that project, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Utah law.
